Research and Planning - Make up tips
I recently found a website/blog that gives some really helpful tips for creating a zombie look with make-up and for creating fake blood. I will use this to improve my mise-en-scene.

Research and Planning - Magazine Feedback
Facebook feedback for my finished magazine mock up:
I am very pleased with the positive feedback I have received both from this draft and previous drafts and the only thing people seem to be unsure about is my masthead font. I think I'm going to recreate this draft on Photoshop and have a mess around with different masthead fonts to see if I can improve the look of my magazine.
Originally I was aiming for a 1920s Cinema Box Office style font for my Masthead, as I thought it would look distinctly film related and would fit nicely with an old style film strip behind it. However, I'm now debating if it is suitable for my film magazine, as I've had some negative feedback about it and I do suppose it is not the typical font you would find on the masthead of a widely sold, mass market, major film magazine like EMPIRE or Total Film.

Research and Planning - 2013 Movies
My magazine issue is going to be for April, so I researched what films are going to be released in April 2013, so I can include them on my cover - ensuring all my coverlines and stories are relevant to the date the issue would be released.
Research and Planning - Camcorder Settings
Yesterday I had a play around with the camcorder before I had to give it to my previous media partner, as we had agreed to share the equipment as there wasn't enough for everyone in the media class.
I found that to get the eeriest setting for my filming I had to lower the exposure to 8 and add the Tungsten light filter. Now I have found this out I know exactly what settings I am going to use for when I conduct my final filming.
